There are many dental benefit plans out there and they're not all created equal. That's where we come in. Our team will help break down your coverage so it's easy to understand, and we'll make sure you know what to expect before you begin your treatment.

For new patients, we send digital paperwork to complete before your first appointment. This allows us to review your benefits ahead of time and prepare an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs, so you can feel confident and informed about your care.

Dental Insurance is designed to help make care more affordable, but it often covers the basics rather than all treatments.
Programs like the CDCP can provide valuable support, but coverage may not always include every service your dentist recommends for your oral care. This is the case in most dental offices across Alberta.
Insurance maximums haven't increased much over the years (since 1960 for most plans), which means some out-of-pocket costs are common even with coverage.

FAQs

I have insurance, why do I have to pay?

Think of your insurance like a coupon for $50 off an item that costs $65. The coupon covers its full value, but not the total price. In the same way, your insurance covers 100% of their set fee, which may not be the full cost of the dental service.

Will my insurance cover a crown?

Coverage varies depending on your plan. Some insurance providers cover crowns partially, while others do not provide coverage at all. Our team will review your benefits and provide an estimate before treatment so you'll know what portion your insurance covers.

Can I split my payments if I can't cover the whole bill?

Yes. Our Treatment and Financial Coordinator will work with you to create a payment plan if you have a larger out-of-pocket cost. If you'd like to inquire about our payment plans options let our team know and we'd be happy to set that up for you.

Do you bill my insurance directly, or do I have to pay upfront?

We direct bill most insurance companies. If your plan doesn't allow direct billing, our team will let you know before your appointment so there are no surprises.

Can I use my Health Spending Account (HSA)?

Yes, you can use your HSA. In most cases you'll pay upfront and then submit the receipt to your HSA provider for reimbursement.

Can I get a cost estimate before starting treatment?

Absolutely. We believe in full transparency. Our team will provide an estimate prior to your appointment, and we're happy to prepare quotes for any treatment you're considering.

Payment Plans

Option 1: Using Dental Insurance

To make your dental treatment more affordable we'll submit to your insurance so they pay us directly, and you'll only be responsible for the portion not covered.

Option 2: Splitting Appointments

To make your treatment more affordable we can break it into smaller appointments that fit within your budget. We have the option to do as few as 1 filling per appointment.

Option 3: Interest-Free Financing (Pre-pay)

Our interest-free prepayment plan requires a 35% down payment on your estimated portion, with the remaining balance divided into three monthly payments, with the final payment due on the day of your appointment. Ask us about interest-free financing when you book your next appointment.

Option 4: Monthly Payment Plans with Lend Care
